In a time of thankfulness, we forget how safe of food we truly have. Organizations such as the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) were created to ensure lawful practices and safe food options. No matter if your current diet has you eating gluten-free, lactose-free, gmo-free or even vegan options, this decision is completely up to you. Lucky for you, there are individuals working hard to ensure we have the safest food options in the world no matter what diet you are on (or lack thereof). Worldwide people are struggling daily with hunger, yet individuals find more importance in worrying over farming practices such as medicinal antibiotic use.
[For more information regarding antibiotic use in livestock and why many farmers utilize this veterinary practice, visit this blog post.] Nonetheless, you are blessed with a wide variety of foods to choose from. Be thankful for the things you have that many are dying for.

In a time of thankfulness, count the blessings around you and simply be thankful.
